Taste of Mid-Missouri 2012, University Club, March 19

The Taste of Mid-Missouri 2012 will be held at The University Club on the esteemed University of Missouri campus this March 19th at 5:30pm.

Come to the Reynolds Alumni Center for samples of food and beverages from Mid-Missouri area restaurants and vendors.

Purchase tickets in advance for $20 per person or $25 per person at the door.  All funds raised from the Taste of Mid-Missouri benefit the Columbia/Mid-Missouri Chapter of the Missouri Restaurant Association Educational, Legislative and Scholarship programs.

BBIM attends 2012 PAII Innkeeping Conference in Little Rock

BBIM attends 2012 PAII Innkeeping Conference in Little Rock, Arkansas this week.  The conference which began last night goes through Thrusday and is must for innkeepers around the globe.

Each year, PAII holds its annual conference and trade show in a different location in the U.S., and in 2013 the show will be in Las Vegas.

After checking into the Peabody Hotel last night, also where the conference is also held, a tradition they have is the Marching of the Ducks where 5 lucky and pampered ducks are escorted from the water fountain in the main lobby, into and elevator to the second floor and out to a patio den.

This morning after a lite breakfast we are all ready for all the many workshops that await us.  First up in the Welcome and Keynote address at 8:30 then it is off to some technical workshops.  Tomorrow it will be marketing.

Hope to do some sight seeing later on around Little Rock.  This is a nice town to come to for a first timer and I think I will return again.

2012 Chancellors Concert, University Concert Series

The 2012 Chancellors Concert which is a part of the University Concert Series will be March 5, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in Jesse Auditorium in Columbia Missouri.

The MU School of Music presents the annual Chancellor’s Concert, a showcase of ensembles including the Concert Jazz Band, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Philharmonic, and University Singers. Ticket proceeds benefit the Chancellor’s Friends of Music Endowed Scholarship Fund.

MSHSAA State Wrestling Championships, February 16-18 2012

The 82nd MSHSAA State Wrestling Championships come to Columbia Missouri February 16-18, 2012.  The Wrestling Championships will be held in the Hearnes Center on the University of Missouri campus.

Columbia Missouri welcomes its state high school athletes for this competition and wishes all the best to each student who has worked very had to get into the championship.
