Spamalot takes the Jesse Auditorium stage in Columbia

Spamalot takes the Jesse Auditorium stage in Columbia for the second time in as many years on January 29, 2012.

This lovingly ripped off story from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail.  Spamalot is a new musical with a book by Eric Idle and an entirely new score created by Eric Idle and John Du Prez.

Telling the legendary tale of King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table, and featuring a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people, Monty Python’s Spamalot, “raises silliness to an art form” (The Sunday Times) and has been hailed as “a no-holds-barred smash hit.”

STOMP at Jesse Auditorium on January 24 and 25, 2012 as part of the University Concert Series season.  Performances for both days begins at 7:00 p.m.

Thumping, bumping, jumping, banging, crashing, ripping, prancing, dancing and running, literally, Stomp has been entertaining audiences since 1991 and is one of the theatre world’s longest running productions.

Stomp is anomalous theatrical sensation that unifies its cast and the audience through rhythm, energy and movement.

True False Film Festival 2012, Columbia Missouri

The True False Film Festival 2012 comes back for the nineth time to Columbia Missouri on March 1 - 4, 2012.

This annual festival highlights innovative work with a cinematic scope, creative takes on contemporary currents, and most of all work that provokes dialogue about its subject and the documentary form itself.

For four days, downtown Columbia, Missouri is transformed into a small-town Midwestern utopia. Most films come freshly discovered from Sundance, Toronto and other festivals, others appear mysteriously before their official premieres elsewhere.
